1. వేములవాడ: దక్షిణ కాశి

• రాజన్న క్షేత్ర పురాణం: లోక కళ్యాణం కోసం శివుడు ఈ ప్రాంతాన్ని తన నివాసంగా ఎంచుకున్నాడని పురాణాలు చెబుతున్నాయి. ఒకానొక సమయంలో సూర్య భగవానుడు ఒక శాపం వల్ల చర్మవ్యాధికి గురయ్యాడు. ఇక్కడ పరమశివుని గురించి ఘోర తపస్సు చేయగా, స్వామి నీల లోహిత శివలింగ రూపంలో ప్రత్యక్షమై ఆయనను అనుగ్రహించారు. సూర్య భగవానుడు తన స్వహస్తాలతో ఇక్కడ ధర్మగుండం నిర్మించాడని, ఇందులో స్నానం చేసి రాజన్నను దర్శించుకుంటే సకల పాపాలు, రోగాలు తొలగిపోతాయని భక్తుల ప్రగాఢ విశ్వాసం.

• చారిత్రక వైభవం: ఇది వేములవాడ చాళుక్యుల ఆధ్యాత్మిక రాజధాని. ప్రసిద్ధ కవి 'పంప' ఇక్కడే తన కావ్యాలను రచించారని చరిత్ర చెబుతోంది. రాజరాజ నరేంద్రుడు ఈ క్షేత్రంలోనే మానసిక ప్రశాంతతను, ఆరోగ్య సిద్ధిని పొందాడని అంటారు.

• శ్రీ రాజరాజేశ్వరి దేవి: శివుని అర్ధాంగిగా ఇక్కడ అమ్మవారు కొలువై ఉన్నారు. కుటుంబ సౌభాగ్యాన్ని, ఐశ్వర్యాన్ని ప్రసాదించే శక్తి స్వరూపిణిగా భక్తులు అమ్మవారిని ఆరాధిస్తారు.

2. నాంపల్లి గుట్ట: సర్ప మార్గం

వేములవాడకు సమీపంలో ఉన్న ఈ కొండపై లక్ష్మీ నరసింహ స్వామి కొలువై ఉన్నారు.

• పాము గుహ: ఇక్కడి విశేషం ఏమిటంటే, ఆలయ ప్రవేశ ద్వారం ఒక భారీ సర్పం (నాగేంద్రుని) ఆకారంలో ఉంటుంది. పాము నోటి ద్వారా లోపలికి వెళ్లి, ఆ గుహ మార్గంలో నడుస్తుంటే ప్రహ్లాదుని చరిత్రకు సంబంధించిన విగ్రహాలు కనిపిస్తాయి. ఇది అజ్ఞానమనే చీకటి నుండి దైవ జ్ఞానమనే వెలుగు వైపు సాగే ప్రయాణానికి ప్రతీక.

 

3. కొండగట్టు అంజన్న: క్షేత్ర పురాణం

• గాథ: సుమారు 500 ఏళ్ల క్రితం సింగం సంజీవుడు అనే పశువుల కాపరి తన ఆవులను వెతుకుతూ ఈ అడవిలోకి వచ్చాడు. అలసిపోయి ఒక చెట్టు కింద నిద్రపోగా, హనుమంతుడు కలలో కనిపించి ఒక పుట్టలో తన విగ్రహం ఉన్నట్లు తెలిపాడు. అలా వెలిసిన క్షేత్రమే కొండగట్టు.
• ద్విముఖ విగ్రహం: ఇక్కడ స్వామి వారు ఒకే శిలపై ఆంజనేయుడు మరియు నరసింహ స్వామి ముఖాలతో దర్శనమివ్వడం భారత దేశంలోనే ఎంతో అరుదు.
• దీక్ష: మానసిక ప్రశాంతత కోసం, అనారోగ్య నివారణ కోసం వేలాది మంది భక్తులు ఇక్కడ 40 రోజుల పాటు హనుమాన్ దీక్ష చేపడతారు.

4. ధర్మపురి: మోక్ష ప్రదాయిని

• యోగ నరసింహ స్వామి: హిరణ్యకశిపుని సంహరించిన తర్వాత నరసింహ స్వామి తన ఉగ్ర రూపాన్ని వీడి, ప్రశాంతత కోసం గోదావరి తీరానికి చేరుకొని యోగ ముద్రలో కూర్చున్నారని పురాణాలు చెబుతున్నాయి.
• యమ భయ నివారణ: యమధర్మరాజు ఇక్కడ తపస్సు చేసి శివుని నుండి వరం పొందారని, అందుకే ఈ క్షేత్రాన్ని దర్శించిన వారికి "యమ భీతి" (మృత్యు భయం) ఉండదని నమ్ముతారు.

• వైభవం: కరీంనగర్ నగరంలో వెలిసిన ఈ ఆలయం అద్భుతమైన శిల్పకళకు నిలయం. ఇక్కడి ఎత్తైన గోపురం మరియు ప్రశాంతమైన వాతావరణం భక్తులకు శక్తిని ఇస్తాయి. నవరాత్రి ఉత్సవాల్లో ఈ ఆలయం ఎంతో శోభాయమానంగా ఉంటుంది.

From the ancient stone carvings of the Chalukyas to the peaceful banks of the Godavari, this journey through the Karimnagar region is a pilgrimage through time, history, and deep-rooted faith.

1. Vemulawada: The Southern Kashi (Dakshina Kashi)

• Sthala Purana of Rajanna: Legend has it that after the creation of the world, Lord Shiva chose this spot to reside in a peaceful form. The Sun God, Surya Bhagavan, was once afflicted with a severe skin ailment due to a curse. He performed intense penance here and worshipped Lord Shiva. Pleased, the Lord appeared as the Neela Lohita Shiva Lingam (representing the blue-red cosmic energy) and cured him. Surya Bhagavan then created the Dharma Gundam (holy tank) with his own hands, declaring that anyone who bathes here and seeks the Lord's darshan will be cured of all diseases and sins.

 

• Historical Legacy: The temple was the spiritual capital for the Vemulawada Chalukyas. It is said that the legendary poet Pampa wrote his epics here, and the great King Raja Raja Narendra found spiritual solace and physical healing at this shrine.

 

 

• Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi: As the consort of Lord Shiva, she resides in an adjacent shrine within the complex. She is the embodiment of "Shakti" and is worshipped as the protector of the household and the granter of marital bliss.
• Key Rituals: The Kode Mokku (Bull Offering) is the hallmark of this temple. Devotees take a bull around the temple as a symbol of surrendering their ego to Nandi, the Lord's vehicle.
• Ancillary Shrines: The circuit includes the Bheemeshwara Swamy temple (built by King Bhaddega), the Nagareswara Swamy temple, and the Pochamma temple, who is traditionally worshipped first to seek protection.

2. Nampally Gutta: The Serpent’s Path

Located near Vemulawada, this hill temple dedicated to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy offers a unique architectural experience.

• The Snake Cave: The entrance is a massive, colorful serpent (Nagendra). Pilgrims walk through the "belly" of the snake—a tunnel that serves as a gallery depicting the life of the child-devotee Prahlada. 3. Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy: The Sthala Puranam

• The Legend: Nearly 500 years ago, a cowherd named Singam Sanjeevudu lost his buffalo in these thick forests. He fell into a deep sleep under a tree, and Lord Hanuman appeared in his dream, pointing him toward an anthill. Sanjeevudu found a beautiful idol of the Lord buried there.
• The Dvimukhi Idol: The idol is unique across India—on one side is the face of Hanuman, and on the other is Narasimha Swamy. This "two-faced" form is believed to offer double the protection.
• Spiritual Healing: Thousands of devotees perform the 40-day Hanuman Deeksha here to seek relief from mental distress and chronic health issues.

4. Dharmapuri: The Abode of Yoga & Salvation

• Sthala Puranam: After Lord Narasimha's fierce battle with Hiranyakashipu, His anger (Ugra) was still blazing. To calm His spirit, He came to the banks of the Godavari at Dharmapuri and sat in a deep meditative state, becoming Yoga Narasimha.
• The Legend of Yama: Lord Yama (God of Death) performed penance here to be relieved of the "sin" of taking lives. Lord Shiva granted him a boon that anyone who visits Dharmapuri would be spared from the "Yama Bhithi" (fear of death).
• The Trinity: This is a rare site housing shrines for Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu (Narasimha), and a dedicated temple for Lord Brahma. It is said that a dip in the Godavari here is as sacred as a dip in the Ganges at Kashi.

విస్సాకోడేరులో సాక్షాత్కరించిన దత్త కృప: నా మొదటి దత్త సప్తహం – ఒక అద్భుత అనుభవం

 జీవితంలో కొన్ని సందర్భాలు మనకు దైవంపై నమ్మకాన్ని రెట్టింపు చేస్తాయి. 2023లో నేను మొదటిసారిగా 'దత్తాత్రేయ పూజ' చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాను. లోగడ దత్త సప్తహం చేయడం వల్ల కలిగే సత్ఫలితాల గురించి విన్నాను. కానీ, ఆ ఏడు రోజుల ప్రయాణం నాలో ఇంతటి మార్పును, ఆధ్యాత్మిక ప్రశాంతతను నింపుతుందని నేను ఊహించలేదు.

సప్తహం – ఒక అనుభూతి:

దత్తాత్రేయ స్వామి సప్తహం ప్రారంభించిన రోజు నుండి, రోజురోజుకూ గ్రంథ పారాయణం చేస్తున్న కొద్దీ నాలో తెలియని ఒక ధైర్యం, ఆనందం కలిగేవి. స్వామి వారు భక్తులను సాధు రూపంలోనో, స్వప్న దర్శనం ద్వారానో లేదా ఏదైనా అద్భుతం ద్వారానో అనుగ్రహిస్తారని చదివాను. మనసులో చిన్న ఆశ.. ఆ దత్తప్రభువు కరుణ నాపై కూడా ఉండాలని కోరుకుంటూ సప్తహం పూర్తి చేశాను.

హనుమాన్ ఆలయంలో ఆ అద్భుత క్షణం:

సప్తహం పూర్తయిన రెండు రోజుల తర్వాత, మా ఊరు (భీమవరం దగ్గరలోని విస్సాకోడేరు) లో ఉన్న హనుమాన్ ఆలయం వద్ద నేను పూజలో ఉన్నాను. అప్పుడు ఒక సాధువు అక్కడికి వచ్చారు. ఆయన ఒళ్లంతా విభూతితో నిండి ఉంది. చూస్తుంటేనే ఏదో తెలియని దైవిక కళ ఆయనలో కనిపించింది.

ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన విషయం ఏమిటంటే.. ఆయన కాశీ నుండి కన్యాకుమారి వెళ్తున్నామని చెప్పారు. కానీ భౌగోళికంగా మా ఊరు ఆ మార్గంలో లేదు. అయినప్పటికీ ఆయన మా గ్రామానికి రావడం, నా నుదుట విభూతి పెట్టి దీవించడం, తనతో ఉన్న వారికి భోజనం కావాలని అడగడం.. ఇవన్నీ చూస్తుంటే నాకు ఒళ్లు గగుర్పొడిచింది

నేను మనస్ఫూర్తిగా చేసిన పూజను స్వీకరించడానికి ఆ దత్తాత్రేయ స్వామియే తన అనుచరులతో కలిసి వచ్చారని లేదా వారిని పంపించారని నాకు అనిపించింది. నేను వారికి భోజనం కోసం సహాయం చేశాను. నమ్మిన వారికి దత్తాత్రేయ స్వామి ఎప్పుడూ తోడుంటారని చెప్పడానికి నా జీవితంలో జరిగిన ఈ సంఘటనే ఒక పెద్ద నిదర్శనం.

The Unexpected Guest: My First Datta Saptaham and a Miracle in Vissakoderu

 In 2023, I felt a calling to perform the Guru Dattatreya Pooja for the first time. I had heard many stories about the power of the Datta Saptaham (a 7-day spiritual reading and ritual), but I didn't realize how personally the Divine would respond to my prayers.

The Journey of Saptaham

Starting the Saptaham was a leap of faith. Day by day, as I read the sacred texts and performed the rituals, a strange sense of calm took over. I had heard that Lord Dattatreya often blesses his devotees in the form of a Sadhu, through dreams, or through sudden "lucky" encounters. I completed the seven days with a full heart, hoping for a sign.

The Miracle at Hanuman Temple

Two days after the Saptaham ended, I was at the Hanuman temple near my home in Vissakoderu (near Bhimavaram). Suddenly, a Sadhu appeared. He was completely covered in Vibhuti, looking exactly like the wandering mendicants described in our Puranas.

He mentioned he was traveling from Kashi to Kanyakumari. Geographically, our village isn't on that direct path—yet, there he was.

The Blessing

He approached me, placed Vibhuti on my forehead, and asked for food for himself and his followers. In that moment, I got goosebumps. I realized this wasn't just a coincidence. Whether it was Swamy himself or a messenger sent by him, the timing was too perfect to be anything else. I happily provided for their meal, feeling a deep sense of gratitude that my pooja had been "accepted."

Lord Dattatreya is known as Smaratami-Gami—the one who comes to the devotee the moment he is remembered. This experience taught me that when we take one step toward the Guru, he takes ten steps toward us.
